Boston, MA

After Washington, D.C we went to Boston again. We wanted to see our friends Bruce and Sally one more time before flying back to Switzerland. We arrived at 7 am of the 24th at the Greyhound station in Worcester (pronounced “Wuster”!?). Bruce came pick us up!

There was lots of snow everywhere: very beautiful, but freezing cold (about -21°C!! Which is -6°F). Once we arrived at Bruce's , he made a delicious breakfast for us based on eggs, bacon and toasts! Both, Bruce and Sally, had some errands to run that day, so we spent some time relaxing on the couch and watching the squirrels and the birds on the back yard. There was pritty much something going on in the backyard! Lots of beautiful birds coming for food (they have different seed trays in the garden) and squirrels chasing each other on the snow covered tree branches!

The following day Bruce and Sally drove us into Boston. We had some bags to pick up at the Greyhound station, we had sent them directly to Boston from San Diego.

We parked the car and walked to the capitol (for our picture collection) and then to the northend, where we had a delicious lunch in an italian restaurant followed by a desert at Mike's (a very good pastry). It was very hard to choose between chesecake, cookies, muffins, cannous, tiramisu, brownies, etc (espetially for Romina).

We walked back to the car after that. It was freezing, but it was a beautiful sunny day.

Once arrived at home we had to re-pack all our stuff and get the bags ready for the approching flight back to Switzerland. It was a long and annoying procedure! Wednesday morning Bruce took us to the Greyhound station: our last bus trip to New York. It was sad to say goodbye to Bruce and Sally! They're really lovely people and we always felt at home by them!
